The California Violence Intervention and Prevention (CalVIP) Grant Program was established through the Budget Act of 2019 (Assembly Bill 74, Chapter 23, Statutes of 2019) and appropriated $30,000,000 in funding for competitive awards to cities and community-based organizations to support evidence-based violence reduction initiatives. The Budget Act of 2020 (Senate Bill 74, Chapter 6, Statues 2020) included an additional $9,000,000 in funding and all other program requirements remained the same. Learn more here »
