By the second half of 2023 we had resumed our regular cadence of monthly, in-person meetings after three years of video conferences. We redoubled our efforts to build up Team Enough San Diego, the local, youth-focused arm of Brady United.

The Board of Supervisors cast an inconclusive tie vote on accepting the conclusions of a countywide survey on gun violence. We made our disappointment clear at a press conference with Supervisor Terra Lawson-Remer. . .

. . . then picked ourselves up, dusted ourselves off and conducted another press event celebrating Manny and Patricia Oliver’s “Guacathon,” a cross-country tour in honor of their son, who was killed in the Parkland shooting.

On one side of town we handed out literature on safe storage of firearms to support the Chula Vista Police Department’s gun buyback . . .
